whyputonshowswhennoonecomesout

only joking!

everyone came out!

the crown was mint.

i had well good time mainly ‘cos i knew everyone there! even the bands. check out idle play things cos they are my new favorite band. bronze medals were lovely as always, and i like to think we played well; but i think we just had more fun than anything. alot of joking around and jumping around and singing harmonies badly.

i wish we’d took pictures cos i liked the look of the place for a change.

i’ve got nothing left to say really, just that i had fun.

:))))

news:

  • i was dude in reflex after the gig, that was mega.
  • the headlining band we well shite, they covered razorlight! i left after that but someone told me they covered wonderwall as well! yuck.
  • we got rid of a few cd’s, which validated me pretty much forcing philippa to help me cut the covers out for an hour and a half.
  • russell pissed himself at leeds festival last week.

see ya x

this is the new cd.
we’ll be selling them cheap at the gig tomorrow.
if you buy one you get our first cd free until we run out of them.
the gig tomorrow is the last gig before me and russell go to uni.
booooo.
i don’t even wanna go. i wanna stay home and watch deal or no deal, and talk about music and play guitar and hang with my friends.
yeah that’s made me decide. i’m not going now i’m staying here. as much as i hate it at least i know i hate it.
russell is too. i just decided for him .
end of.
see you tomorrow…
p.s,mad props to philippa ‘cos she sorted the cover for us.

we got some recordings back.

they’re sounding good.

dan rang me to say so. he’s dead enthused bless him.

we are proud.

news:

  • billy moss - magician.

that is all.

hiiiiiiiiiiii.

okay, we didn’t end up playing the all day tav fest (cos russell had work) which worked out pretty well for me ‘cos i just got mega, mega drunk. but it was a real good day. dan’s other band noyfb played really well as did other locally ace bands boat to row, bronze medals and youves. also, my friend james drank for almost thirteen hours and ended up getting in the fountain. hero.

we played the tav wednesday with bronze medals who were great as always. as for us, i don’t feel we really excelled that much. dan said he felt like my guitar amp was just shouting at him and he couldn’t hear anything at all (even himself) and my ears just felt so fucked that i couldn’t tell pitch correctly. lame.

but thursday at the crew was a bit of a different story. we played again with bronze medals, plus curious jim, ruffcutts, flying kicks and fight of the pier. the sound was great and for some reason; i felt we really were too. i was in such a bad mood that i took every once of frustration out on my guitar and ended the set by plugging a mic into my loop station and screaming through a colossal amount of noise. but it was good, and i was sporting a right quiff which i think is dead cool. check out the pix. also have a look at the picture of me and russell that they stuck together really badly.

good times. even better than that; it was a battle of the bands and the prize was a cake. so we thought it would be funny to eat it before anyone won. but instead, in our infinite wisdom, we poured beer on it and stuck stuff in it. which turned out to be even funnier when the girl from fight of the pier started eating it after they won.

beer cake; yum.

news:

  • we feel good about ourselves.
  • we’re finishing new songs before me and russ disappear to uni.
  • we have no gigs.
  • we have no news.

let’s hear it for love

recording with billy was brilliant.

we got four tracks recorded because (as painful as it is for me to admit it) dan got every drum track done first time. i, on the other hand, was recording and layering guitars for hours.

but it’s all cool.

a mix of g loop is on myspace and we are mixing the other three next week.

i’m real excited about it.

we also played at a house party that russ threw last week which was mega.

i got well fucked up.

news this week:

  • we’re playing four gigs in one week; which is pretty lolz ‘cause we don’t have any gigs booked for anytime after that.
  • it’s also pretty lolz ‘cause they are all in nuneaton.
  • as faggy as it is: i’m really into baking cakes at the minute.
  • and as you can tell from the last piece of news, there isn’t really anymore news.

big love, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

THIS TIME BABY I”LL BEEE. BUUUULLLEETTTPROOOFF!

HI!

we played in cov a few hours ago at an irish pub called rosie malones hosted by the kashbah promoter, Dimitris (who i’m going to go all out and say that he is a living legend).

a few of my friends came down: james, stu, avery, joel, ben, ellie and emma (mega grateful); but we really only played to them, some other people that were knocking around, the other band that played (hang the dj, who were indie-pop-tasticly-good) and a few of there friends. but don’t be fooled into thinking this made us have a bad night; on the contrary. it was brilliant.

the promoter really liked us and said he’d set up a gig quite soon for the kasbah and more smaller gigs at the same venue we played tonight.

then the sound engineer also said he’d record one of our songs for free ‘cos he liked us that much.

great times.

also this is the first time we got paid.

we got paid in beer.

which is nice, but i drove and everyone got so fucked up i couldn’t believe it. after stu and everyone went home, joel, dan and russ just drank as many of the bottles that we were given (there was really no limit as the other band weren’t old enough to drink) as they could.

it was the funniest thing. i had joel massaging my shoulders all the way home trying to get me to do 100mph. then i suggested we get a flames which was…well flames. and we saw all the crow hill lot which was cool.

then we drove home listening to bulletproof by la roux over and over again singing as loud as we could.

oh the times we have.

it’s half one in the morning and we’re going to meet billy at 9.30 for recording! us crazy kids!

i can’t be arsed to do any news.

peace bruvvvv. xxxxxxxxoxoxoxox

oh! also russell got the barmaid’s number. she was from barcelona  and everything! swing!

xx

on saturday (the 11th) we played at the wheatsheaf for dude’s birthday. us, ruffcutts, 6ft stupid and dan’s other band none of your fucking business played and paid tribute to dude’s 46th year of life. we even covered everything sux by decedents just for dude. punx punx punx. the picture looks like not many people were watching us because not many people were watching us.
i insisted we played as soon as we could, even though we were told we could wait for more people; pretty much because i was mega hungover from a mega night out the night before. dan felt just as bad if not worse ‘cos he stayed up till six in the morning drinking rose with wilby, alice, gilly and beth singing bulletproof by la roux. good times. he nearly collapsed after we played. thumbs up.
news in briefs (i’m in by pants writing this):
dan has gone away for a few days with wilby to see dario in cornwall and i wish i’d gone too.
i have nowhere to live next year and i’ve never been so worried.
loadzzzzzzz of new songs.
we’re recording with billy moss next week at the pig flu infested hinkley college.
gigz; check myspace.
